Blessings and curses

Portland was a lot! On every level. To understand this statement you have to understand a bit about the history of Oregon. Oregon was the ONLY state to deny African American residency in the country. A history that I strongly believe plays out in some very covert and overt ways. I grow up in Georgia and South Carolina and I have never seen the amount of discrimination I experienced in Portland. And so to that end I will only highlight the phenomenal food and artwork that Portland provides me. Enjoy the pictures of food and artwork, it was indeed phenomenal.

However, it will be many years before I return to Portland, if even that is possible, because I truly believe the gate agent at United put my name on a no-fly list!🤦🏽‍♀️
